Preparation

  • Select a standard-sized, microwave-safe mug (about 12-14 ounces).

  • Pour in the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined, scraping down the sides.
  • Gently fold in the finely diced apple.

Cooking

  • Microwave the mug on high for 90 seconds to 2 minutes, checking at 90 seconds.
  • The cake should look dry on top and spring back when lightly touched.
  • Carefully remove the mug and let the cake rest for a minute.

Serving

Notes
