Ingredients
  

For the cheese balls

  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend) Use flavorful cheese for best taste.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Use panko for extra crunch if desired.
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • Cooking spray or oil for the air fryer Spray the air fryer basket and cheese balls before cooking.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix together the shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, flour, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into small balls.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  • Place the cheese balls in the basket in a single layer, making sure they aren't touching. Spray the tops with more cooking spray.
  • Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These cheese balls are great on their own, but can be served with ranch dressing, marinara sauce, or spicy aioli for added flavor. If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
