Ingredients
  

For the Apple Filling

  • 3 medium apples, cored and chopped Crisp varieties like Granny Smith or Fuji work best.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon For warmth and depth of flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 0.5 cup caramel sauce Homemade or store-bought.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice To enhance apple flavor.

For the Dough

  • 1 batch biscuit dough Homemade or store-bought is fine.

For Topping

  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar For coating.
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon For coating.
  • 0.5 cup chopped nuts Almonds or pecans for crunch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the apple filling by coring and chopping the apples, then mixing them with cinnamon, sugar, and lemon juice. Stir in the caramel sauce.
  • Roll the biscuit dough on a floured surface to ¼-inch thickness and cut into 4–5 inch circles.

Assembly

  • Place about 2 tablespoons of apple filling in the center of each dough circle.
  • Fold the dough over the filling and pinch tightly to seal.

Baking

  • Place the sealed bombs on the baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and roll the warm bombs in the mixture straight from the oven.

Notes

Seal the bomb tightly to prevent caramel leakage. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for a deeper golden color and brush with egg wash for shine.
