Ingredients
  

For the filling

  • 1 jazz apple Or substitute with Honeycrisp apple.
  • 1 tbsp raw sugar Can be substituted with regular granulated sugar.
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice Freshly squeezed.
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter Melted.

For the crumble topping

  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp raw sugar
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • 1.5 tbsp butter Melted.

To serve

  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream For topping.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Chop one Jazz or Honeycrisp apple into small cubes. Add them to your ramekin or baking dish.
  • Pour in 1 tablespoon of melted butter, 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon of raw sugar, 1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon, and ½ teaspoon of lemon juice. Mix until the apples are well coated.

Making the Crumble

  • In a small bowl, mix together 3 tablespoons of flour, 2 tablespoons of raw sugar, and 1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon.
  • Add 1.5 tablespoons of melted butter and mix gently with your hands until small clumps form.

Assembly and Baking

  • Spoon the crumble topping evenly over the apple mixture.
  • Bake in a toaster oven at 350°F for about 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.

Serving

  • Let it cool slightly before topping with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. Reheat in the microwave or toaster oven before serving. Use tart apples for balanced sweetness, and feel free to mix in other fruits or spices for variations.
