Ingredients
  

For the Bread

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples

For the Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, eggs, and milk.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

Baking

  • Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Glazing

  • While the bread is baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  • Once the bread is cool, drizzle the glaze over the top.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Great with coffee or tea. For an indulgent touch, add whipped cream or ice cream. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days, or freeze slices for longer storage.
