Ingredients
  

Filling

  • 3 medium apples Peeled and diced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter For cooking
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar Adjust for sweetness if desired
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Assembly

  • 10 pieces egg roll wrappers
  • as needed liter oil For frying
  • as needed tablespoons powdered sugar For dusting before serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Peel and dice the apples.
  • In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until the apples are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Allow the apple mixture to cool slightly.

Assembly

  • Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each egg roll wrapper.
  • Fold the edges over and seal with a bit of water.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  • Fry the egg rolls until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve warm. Great on their own, but pairs well with vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce. Ensure not to overfill the egg rolls to prevent bursting.
