Instructions

Step 1: Make the Wonton Shells

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray or brush wonton wrappers with olive oil. Place each wrapper into the space between muffin tin cups to form a taco shape. Bake for 6–8 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp. Let cool.

  • In a bowl, combine coleslaw mix with rice vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, and salt. Toss well and chill in the fridge while you prepare the chicken.

Step 3: Cook the Chicken

  • In a bowl, mix diced chicken with soy sauce, hoisin, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for about 5–6 minutes, until cooked through and caramelized.

Step 4: Mix the Sauce (Optional)

  • Whisk together honey, soy sauce, and sriracha in a small bowl. This drizzle adds sweetness and spice!

Step 5: Assemble the Tacos

  • Fill each crispy wonton shell with a spoonful of cooked chicken, then top with the tangy slaw. Drizzle with sauce and garnish with green onions, cilantro, sesame seeds, and a squeeze of lime.
