  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with other cheeses like mozzarella or pepper jack.
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1/4 cup ketchup Can add more for serving.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan or on a lined baking sheet.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or crunchy coleslaw. Add toppings like pickles, onions, or more cheese for extra flavor. For a healthier version, substitute with lean ground turkey or chicken.
