Ingredients
  

For the filling

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 recommended) Use lean beef for a less greasy filling.
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, chopped Cook bacon until crispy for best results.
  • 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to swap for your favorite cheese.
  • 8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese You can use less if you prefer.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil for frying Use enough to coat the skillet.

For the quesadillas

  • 4 large flour tortillas You can also use whole wheat tortillas for a healthier option.

Preparation

  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Add Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until fully browned.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef, chopped bacon, and both cheeses.

Cooking

  • Place a tortilla in a skillet and add a portion of the filling on one half. Fold the tortilla over to create a quesadilla.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and the cheese is melted.
  • Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.

Serving

  • Slice and serve with your favorite condiments such as salsa, sour cream, or guacamole.

Notes

Allow leftovers to cool completely and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. To reheat, use a skillet over low heat or a microwave.
