Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Combining Ingredients

  • Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Stir in the diced apples.

Baking

  • Drop heaping spoonfuls of batter onto the baking sheet, leaving space between each fritter.
  • Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.

Glazing

  • While fritters bake, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Let the fritters cool slightly before drizzling with glaze. Enjoy warm!
