  • 1 large ripe banana, mashed Use a very ripe banana for the sweetest flavor.
  • 1 cup almond flour or oat flour Feel free to substitute with regular flour.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon or vanilla extract (optional) You can omit or substitute with other spices like nutmeg or ginger.

Optional Coating

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) or prepare your air fryer.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, mash the ripe banana until smooth.
  • Add the almond flour (or oat flour) and cinnamon (if using). Mix until a soft, sticky dough forms.

Shaping and Baking

  • Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch wide. If too sticky, wet your hands slightly.
  • Place the formed balls on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or air-fry for 8-10 minutes until slightly golden.
  • If desired, roll warm balls in a mixture of cinnamon and coconut sugar or shredded coconut.

Serving

  • Let the banana bites cool slightly before enjoying, either warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can also freeze them, separating with parchment paper to avoid sticking.
