Ingredients
  

For the Crust

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs Used to form the base of the cheesecake.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Acts as a binder for the crust.

For the Cheesecake Filling

  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened Must be at room temperature for smooth texture.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Sweetens the filling.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds flavor.
  • 3 large eggs Incorporate one at a time.

For the Topping and Swirl

  • 1 cup blackberry jam For swirling into the cheesecake.
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries To decorate the top.
  • 1/2 cup strawberries, halved Optional decoration.
  • 1/4 cup blackberry sauce (optional, for topping) Enhances flavor and presentation.

Instructions
 

Prepare the Crust

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  • In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter, mixing until all crumbs are evenly coated.
  • Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the pan to ensure the crust holds together.
  • Refrigerate the crust while preparing the filling.

Make the Cheesecake Filling

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  • Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Assemble the Cheesecake

  • Pour half of the cream cheese mixture over the crust.
  • Spoon half of the blackberry jam over the filling and gently swirl.
  • Add the remaining cream cheese mixture and smooth the top.
  • Swirl remaining blackberry jam into the top layer.

Bake the Cheesecake

  • Place the cheesecake in the oven and bake for 50-60 minutes until the center is set.
  • Turn off the oven and leave the door slightly open for one hour to cool.
  • Remove from the oven and cool completely at room temperature.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Decorate and Serve

  • Top the cheesecake with fresh blackberries and strawberries.
  • Drizzle blackberry sauce over the top if desired.
  • Slice using a sharp knife, cleaning the blade between cuts.

Notes

For best results, always use room temperature cream cheese and avoid overmixing after adding eggs. Chill thoroughly before slicing.
