Ingredients
  

Crust

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Filling

  • 2 packages cream cheese, softened Each package is 8 ounces
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups diced apples (such as Granny Smith)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix well, then press firmly into the bottom of the greased baking dish to form a crust.

Filling the Bars

  • In a larger bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition to ensure they’re fully incorporated.
  • Gently fold in the diced apples, being careful to keep them intact.
  • Pour the creamy mixture over the prepared crust.
  • Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top of the cheesecake mixture and use a knife to swirl it into the batter.

Baking

  • Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until the bars are set and slightly golden.
  • Let them cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.

Notes

Serve chilled and drizzle extra caramel or whipped cream for added indulgence. Sprinkle some cinnamon on top for an autumn touch. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days, or freeze them for up to 2 months.
