Ingredients
  

Pie Base

  • 1 piece pie crust Store-bought or homemade

Filling

  • 4-5 medium apples, peeled and sliced Use a mix of sweet and tart apples for best flavor
  • 1 cup caramel sauce Store-bought or homemade

Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

To Serve

  • to taste Vanilla ice cream For serving with pie

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place the pie crust in a pie dish and fill it with the sliced apples.
  • Drizzle caramel sauce over the apples.

Make the Crumble Topping

  • In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, flour, oats, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to create the crumble topping.
  • Spread the crumble mixture evenly over the apples and caramel.

Baking

  • Bake for 45-50 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For a different twist, add raisins or dried cranberries to the apple filling. You can also switch out the oats for crushed graham crackers for a different texture in the topping. Remember to store leftovers properly.
