Ingredients
  

Brownie Base

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Cheesecake Layer

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 large egg

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  • In a bowl, mix together melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  • Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until well combined.
  • Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  • In another bowl, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, lemon juice, and 1 egg until smooth.

Baking

  • Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture on top of the brownie batter and swirl with a knife.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until set.
  • Let it cool, then cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Serve chilled or at room temperature. For added flavor, top with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, or powdered sugar. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
