Instructions
Prepare the Cheesecake Filling:
In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
Use a hand mixer or whisk to beat until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
Prepare the Hawaiian Rolls:
Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, creating a "pocket" by keeping one side attached or separating into two slices.
Stuff the Rolls:
Spread a generous dollop of cheesecake filling onto the bottom half of each roll.
Place the top half of the roll back on, sandwiching the cheesecake filling in the middle.
Make the French Toast Batter:
In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and sugar until fully combined.
Dip the Rolls:
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
Dip each stuffed roll into the batter, ensuring it’s coated on all sides but not oversaturated.
Cook the French Toast:
Place the dipped rolls onto the skillet. Cook each side for 2–3 minutes or until golden brown. Work in batches if needed, adding more butter as necessary.
Serve:
Transfer the French toast to a plate and serve warm.
Add your favorite toppings like maple syrup, powdered sugar, fresh berries, or whipped cream for extra decadence.
