  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil – For cooking.
  • Salt and Pepper – To taste.
  • Optional: Mushrooms jalapeños, or additional seasonings to spice things up.

Instructions

Step 1: Cooking the Steak

  • Start by heating a tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak with salt and pepper, then cook it for about 3-5 minutes per side until it’s browned and cooked through. Take the steak out of the skillet and allow it to rest for a few minutes before cutting it into thin slices.

Step 2: Preparing the Tortellini

  • As the steak cooks, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the tortellini following the package instructions, usually for 3-5 minutes, until tender but firm. Drain and set aside.

Step 3: Sautéing the Veggies

  • In the same skillet used for the steak, heat a tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the onions and bell peppers for 4-5 minutes, until they soften. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.

Step 4: Combining Ingredients

  • Once the veggies are done, add the steak back into the skillet, along with the cooked tortellini. Stir everything together until well-combined.

Step 5: Adding the Cheese

  • Lower the heat to low, then add the heavy cream. in the shredded provolone cheese, and cook until the cheese has melted and formed a creamy sauce that coats the steak and tortellini. Season with more salt and pepper if needed.
