Ingredients

Cheesecake Fluff Base

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whipped topping (such as Cool Whip), thawed

Cherry Layer

  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling

Crumble (Optional but recommended)

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Instructions

Make the Crumble (Optional)

  • Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar in a bowl. Stir until the crumbs are evenly coated. Set aside.

Prepare the Cream Cheese Base

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then continue beating until the mixture is well blended and light.
  • Fold in the whipped topping gently using a spatula.

Layer the Dessert

  • In a serving dish or trifle bowl, start by layering half of the crumble mixture if you’re using it.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over that layer.
  • Top with the cherry pie filling, making sure it covers the cream layer thoroughly.
  • Sprinkle the remaining crumble on top for texture and visual appeal.

Chill and Serve

  • Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  • Serve chilled on its own or with fresh cherries, whipped cream, or a light dusting of graham crumbs for garnish.
