  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  • Melt the butter and whisk it together with granulated sugar and brown sugar until the mixture is glossy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture—be careful not to overmix.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Spread the batter evenly in the lined pan.

Baking

  • Bake for 28–32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  • Let the brownies cool in the pan before slicing them into squares.

Notes

Serve Chewy Brownies warm with ice cream, chocolate sauce, or sprinkled with sea salt for an elevated chocolate experience. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days or refrigerate for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze individually wrapped brownies for up to 3 months.
