  • Caramel sauce 1/2 cup
  • Hazelnuts chopped 1/3 cup
  • Dark chocolate chopped 6 oz
  • Vanilla extract 1 tsp

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

Prepare the Cake Batter

  • In a large bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until thick and fluffy.
  • Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder.
  • Gently fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture.

Bake the Cake

  • Spread the batter evenly onto the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and roll the cake in a clean kitchen towel while it’s warm.

Prepare the Chocolate Ganache

  • Melt dark chocolate, butter, and heavy cream together until smooth.
  • Let the ganache cool slightly before spreading over the Swiss roll.

Assemble the Swiss Roll

  • Unroll the cooled cake and spread the caramel filling evenly.
  • Carefully roll the cake back up and cover with the ganache.
  • Sprinkle chopped hazelnuts on top for added crunch and flavor.

Chill and Serve

  • Wrap the Swiss roll tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 3-4 hours.
