Ingredients
  

  • 6 large croissants day-old, cut into chunks
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Optional: 2 tbsp cocoa powder for extra chocolatey flavor
  • Powdered sugar for garnish

Instructions
 

  • 1️⃣ Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • 2️⃣ Assemble the Bake: Arrange croissant chunks in the baking dish and sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over them.
  • 3️⃣ Make the Custard: In a mixing bowl, whisk together 🥚 eggs, 🥛 milk, 🍶 heavy cream, 🍬 sugar, 🥄 vanilla, and 🧂 salt. (Optional: Stir in cocoa powder for extra chocolate flavor.)
  • 4️⃣ Soak the Croissants: Pour the custard mixture evenly over the croissants. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to absorb.
  • 5️⃣ Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
