Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping

  • Powdered sugar or chocolate glaze

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Fill each donut cavity about 3/4 full with the batter.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Let them cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Top with powdered sugar or your favorite chocolate glaze before serving.

Notes

To keep your donuts fresh, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. For longer storage, wrap each donut in plastic wrap and place in a freezer-safe bag for about a month.
