  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee at room temperature

Topping

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup blackberries fresh

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs, then stir in the milk and vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Gradually combine with the wet mixture.
  • Slowly pour in the brewed coffee and mix until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool completely.

Assembly

  • Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over layers of the cooled cake.
  • Top with fresh blackberries.
  • Serve and enjoy each bite!

Notes

For easy serving, slice into wedges and serve on dessert plates. Dust with cocoa powder or powdered sugar for an elegant touch. Store in an airtight container for 2–3 days in the refrigerator.
