Preparation

  • Chop the dark chocolate and place it in a bowl.
  • In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it just begins to boil.
  • Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for a few minutes.
  • Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  • Add butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt; mix until well combined.
  • Let it cool slightly before using it as a glaze or filling.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Warm slightly before using.
