  • 1 cup dark chocolate
  • 1 cup milk chocolate
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Melt dark and milk chocolate along with butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  • In a bowl, whisk together sugar and eggs until pale and fluffy.
  • Stir in the melted chocolate mixture.
  • Add flour, vanilla extract, and salt, and mix until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool, then slice and serve.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature with vanilla ice cream, powdered sugar, or warm chocolate sauce. Store covered at room temperature for up to 2 days, in the fridge for up to 5 days, or frozen for up to 2 months. Melt chocolate slowly over low heat to avoid burning and do not overmix after adding flour for a tender texture.
