  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Mousse Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate, chopped Melted and cooled

Topping

  • 1 cup chocolate ganache For topping

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  • In a bowl, mix together cocoa powder, sugar, melted butter, flour, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.

Mousse Preparation

  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  • Melt the semi-sweet chocolate and allow it to cool slightly.
  • Gently fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream until combined to make the mousse.

Assembly

  • Once the brownies are cooled, spread the mousse layer evenly on top.
  • Drizzle or spread chocolate ganache over the mousse layer.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
  • Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Make sure not to overbake the brownies. They should be moist and fudgy. Use high-quality chocolate for the mousse to enhance flavor. Let the brownies cool completely before adding the mousse to avoid melting. For extra flavor, add sea salt on top of the chocolate ganache.
