Instructions

Baking the Cake

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla.
  • Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture and stir until smooth.
  • Gradually add the hot water, mixing gently until everything is blended well.
  • Pour the batter into a greased 22 cm round cake pan and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Once baked, allow it to cool, then cut the cake in half horizontally.

Preparing the Cream

  • In a mixing bowl, beat together the butter and peanut butter for about 2–3 minutes until creamy.
  • Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until thickened.
  • If the mixture is too runny, add 2–3 tablespoons of milk to reach your desired consistency.

Assembling the Cake

  • Place the bottom layer of the cake on a serving plate.
  • Spread half of the peanut butter cream on top.
  • Place the second layer on top and spread the remaining cream over the whole cake.
  • Drizzle with chocolate sauce or melted chocolate and sprinkle some peanut pieces on top for extra crunch.

Notes

Ensure your ingredients are at room temperature for a smoother batter. Don’t skip the hot water; it helps keep the cake moist. Use a serrated knife to cut the cake layers evenly. Feel free to adjust the amount of peanut butter for more or less flavor to suit your taste.
