Ingredients
  

For the cake and pudding

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix, baked and cooled, or 1 homemade 9-inch chocolate cake
  • 2 boxes instant chocolate pudding mix (3.9 oz each)
  • 4 cups cold milk (960ml)

For the whipped cream and strawberries

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream, cold (480ml)
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar (40g)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tbsp strawberry jam or glaze
  • to taste Chocolate curls or chocolate shavings
  • to taste Extra strawberries
  • to taste Chocolate syrup drizzle

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Prepare the chocolate cake according to package directions or your favorite homemade recipe. Let it cool completely, then cut it into cubes.
  • In a large bowl, whisk the chocolate pudding mix with cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened. Refrigerate for 5 minutes.
  • In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until fluffy stiff peaks form.
  • Toss the sliced strawberries lightly with strawberry jam or glaze to make them glossy and juicy.

Assembly

  • In a large trifle bowl, spread a layer of chocolate pudding on the bottom.
  • Add a thick layer of chocolate cake cubes over the pudding.
  • Arrange sliced strawberries around the edges of the bowl for a gorgeous look, then add more strawberries across the center.
  • Spread a generous layer of whipped cream over the strawberries.
  • Repeat the layers with chocolate pudding, chocolate cake, strawberries, and whipped cream until the bowl is full.
  • Finish with chocolate curls, extra strawberries, and a drizzle of chocolate syrup on top for the ultimate decadent finish.

Chilling

  • Chill the Chocolate Strawberry Trifle Dream for at least 2 hours before serving so the flavors blend beautifully.

Notes
