Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Fruits and Other Ingredients

  • 1 medium apple, peeled and diced

Preparation

  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed; fold in the diced apple.

Cooking

  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake.
  • Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
  • Serve warm with homemade vanilla maple syrup.

Notes

Make sure to use a medium heat when cooking to avoid burning the pancakes. Don’t overmix the batter; stir until just combined for fluffier pancakes. Feel free to use different types of apples, like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp, for varying flavors. Experiment with adding nuts or raisins for extra texture.
