  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  • Sprinkle the additional granulated sugar over the top of the batter.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool, cut into squares, and enjoy!

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Consider adding a dusting of powdered sugar, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream, for a special touch.
