Preparation

  • Pre-heat your oven to 300 degrees F.
  • In a mixing bowl, whip the egg whites with a mixer until big bubbles start to form.
  • Add in the sugar and continue to whip until small bubbles begin to form.
  • Add the cornstarch and whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  • Pour the egg white mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, shaping it into a loaf or mound.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.

Notes

Let the cloud bread cool completely after baking. Store in an airtight container. It is best enjoyed fresh but can be refrigerated for a couple of days or frozen for longer storage. Tips for best results include ensuring no egg yolk is in the whites and using dry utensils to whip them.
