Instructions
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray or butter.
Prepare the Egg Mixture:
In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs until the yolks and whites are fully combined. Stir in the cottage cheese, shredded cheddar or mozzarella, green onions, salt, and pepper.
Add Optional Ingredients:
If desired, fold in cooked bacon, sausage, or diced vegetables. Mix gently to distribute evenly.
Pour and Bake:
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set. Test with a toothpick; if it comes out clean, it’s ready.
Cool and Serve:
Let the dish cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing into portions. Serve warm and enjoy!
