Ingredients
  

For the Bars

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

For the Frosting

  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla.
  • Gradually stir in the dry ingredients, then fold in cranberries and white chocolate chips.
  • Spread the mixture in the prepared pan and bake for 20–25 minutes.
  • Allow to cool.

Frosting

  • For the frosting, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth, then spread it over cooled bars.

Serving

  • Cut the bars into squares and serve at room temperature.
  • For a nicer look, sprinkle a few extra dried cranberries or white chocolate shavings on top before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature, up to 5 days in the refrigerator, or wrap tightly and freeze for up to 1 month. Let them come to room temperature before eating for the best texture.
