Base Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Topping

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese frosting for topping
  • to taste extra cranberries and white chocolate for decoration (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mix to the wet mixture and stir until well combined.
  • Fold in the dried cranberries and white chocolate chips.
  • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.

Baking

  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the bars cool completely before spreading the cream cheese frosting on top.
  • Decorate with extra cranberries and white chocolate if you like.
  • Cut into bars and serve.

Notes

Store room temperature in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Refrigerate for up to 5 days. Freeze individual bars for up to 2 months.
