Ingredients
  

For the Mashed Potatoes

  • 4 medium Potatoes Russet or Yukon Gold are great choices.
  • 4 tablespoons Butter Use for mashing potatoes.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper Adjust to taste.

For the Garlic Shrimp

  • 1 pound Shrimp Fresh shrimp preferred.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Grated.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter For sautéing garlic and shrimp.
  • 1/4 cup Parsley Chopped, for garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation of Mashed Potatoes

  • Cook the potatoes in boiling salted water until tender.
  • Drain, then mash with butter and season with salt and pepper.

Cooking the Shrimp

  • In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add shrimp and sprinkle with paprika. Cook until shrimp is pink and opaque.
  • Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until smooth.

Serving

  • Serve the shrimp over the mashed potatoes, drizzled with the creamy sauce and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

If you have leftovers, let them cool before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over low heat, adding a splash of water or cream to keep the dish creamy.
