Preparation

  • Cut the cheese sticks into the desired size.
  • Set up a breading station with flour in one bowl, beaten eggs mixed with milk in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with salt and pepper in a third.

Breading the Cheese

  • Dip each cheese stick first into the flour, then into the egg mixture, and finally into the breadcrumbs.

Frying

  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large pan over medium heat.
  • Fry the breaded cheese sticks until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.

Notes

For extra crunch, double-dip the cheese sticks by dipping them in the egg and breadcrumbs a second time. Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to prevent cheese leakage. Freeze the breaded cheese sticks for about 30 minutes before frying to keep them intact.
