  • 1 packet gravy mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 0.5 cup onion, chopped

  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional) Optional for added flavor

Preparation

  • Start by placing the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the gravy mix with the chicken broth, whisking until the mixture is smooth.
  • Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
  • Add the chopped onion and, if you like, the sliced mushrooms.
  • Season everything with a little salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is nice and tender.
  • Serve the chicken over rice or mashed potatoes, ladling the delicious gravy on top.

Notes

If you want extra flavor, you can sear the chicken breasts in a pan before adding them to the crockpot. Consider adding additional veggies like carrots or green beans for more nutrition. Adjust the thickness of the gravy by adding more or less chicken broth.
