  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup Drizzle on top for added sweetness.
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon Gives an extra flavor kick.

Preparation

  • Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  • In the skillet, cook the bacon until crispy, then remove and drain on paper towels.

Assembly

  • Assemble the grilled cheese by placing a slice of cheddar cheese on one half of each donut.
  • Add the cooked bacon on top of the cheese and drizzle with maple syrup.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon and cayenne pepper if using.
  • Top with the other half of the donut and place in the skillet.

Cooking

  • Grill for 2-3 minutes on each side or until the donuts are golden and the cheese is melted.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

If you have leftovers, place them in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to two days. To reheat, warm them in a skillet on low heat until the cheese melts again.
