Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound thinly sliced roast beef Use deli roast beef for convenience.
  • 8 pieces slider buns You can use regular or biscuit-style buns.
  • 1 cup caramelized onions Prepared ahead or made from scratch.
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese Provolone or Gruyère can be substituted.
  • 1 cup au jus For dipping.
  • 2 tablespoons salt To taste.
  • 1 teaspoon pepper To taste.
  • 4 tablespoons butter Melted for brushing on buns.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the slider buns in half and lay the bottom halves on a baking sheet.
  • Layer the roast beef on top of the buns.
  • Add caramelized onions and Swiss cheese on top of the beef.
  • Place the top halves of the buns over the fillings.
  • Melt butter and mix with salt and pepper, then brush it over the tops of the sliders.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10–15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the buns are golden brown.
  • Serve hot with au jus for dipping.

Notes

Serve with small bowls of warm au jus for dipping. For a casual family meal, plate with fries or a simple salad.
