Ingredients
  

Bread and Filling

  • 8 slices slices brioche or challah bread
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar for the filling
  • 2 tablespoons butter for frying

Optional Toppings

  • Fresh strawberries optional for serving
  • Additional powdered sugar for dusting, optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on 4 slices of bread, then top with sliced strawberries if desired.
  • Place the remaining 4 slices of bread on top to form sandwiches.

Cooking

  • Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Fry the sandwiches for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  • Remove from skillet and dust with additional powdered sugar if desired.
  • Slice and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat in a skillet.
