Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (full fat or low fat) Use full-fat for a richer mouthfeel.
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder Sift to avoid lumps.
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup Adjust to taste for sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch salt

Optional Toppings

  • dark chocolate shavings
  • granola
  • crushed nuts
  • berries
  • coconut flakes

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, add the Greek yogurt, cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  • Stir or whisk until the mixture is smooth and the cocoa is fully incorporated.
  • Taste and add more sweetener if you like it sweeter.
  • Spoon into a bowl or glass and add optional toppings.
  • Serve right away for a soft texture, or chill for 10-15 minutes for a firmer pudding-like feel.

Notes

Store in a covered container in the fridge for up to 2-3 days. For crunchy toppings, store separately and add just before serving.
