Ingredients

For the Filling

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water

For the Burrito

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for about 5 minutes.

Assembly and Cooking

  • Lay out a tortilla and place a portion of the beef mixture in the center.
  • Top with shredded cheese and some salsa.
  • Fold the sides of the tortilla in and roll it up to enclose the filling.
  • Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Place the burrito seam side down and grill for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  • Remove from the heat and let cool slightly. Serve with sour cream, additional salsa, and sprinkle with green onions if desired.

Notes

Feel free to add extra ingredients like beans, corn, or jalapeƱos to your filling. You can use different types of cheese, like Monterey Jack or pepper jack, to change the flavor. For a healthier option, consider using ground turkey or a meat alternative.
