Ingredients

For the burger patties

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For serving

  • Buns
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato slices
  • Bacon (optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Form the mixture into patties.

Cooking

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Grill the turkey burgers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
  • Toast the buns on the grill during the last few minutes.

Assembly

  • Assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato, and bacon (if desired) and serve immediately.

Notes

Make sure not to overmix the turkey mixture; this keeps the burgers tender. Let the patties rest for a few minutes before grilling. Keep the grill clean and well-oiled to prevent sticking. Use a meat thermometer to check when the burgers are done—165°F ensures they are safe to eat. Variations can include adding herbs and spices for different flavors.
