Heaven on Earth Cake
A no-bake layered dessert featuring fluffy angel food cake, pie filling, smooth pudding, and whipped cream, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Cake Base
- 1 piece Angel food cake Store-bought for convenience or homemade if preferred.
Pudding Layer
- 1 box Instant vanilla pudding mix Substitute with lemon pudding for a tart flavor.
- 2 cups Cold milk Ensure the milk is cold for best consistency.
Toppings
- 1 tub Whipped topping Cool Whip or real whipped cream.
- 1 can Cherry pie filling Classic choice, but other flavors can be used.
- 1/2 cup Sliced almonds Optional for added crunch and decoration.
Instructions
Preparation
- Cube the angel food cake into even pieces.
- Prepare the instant vanilla pudding by mixing it with cold milk as per package instructions.
- Layer half of the cubed cake in a serving dish.
- Spread half of the prepared pudding over the cake.
- Add half of the cherry pie filling on top of the pudding.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, pudding, and pie filling.
- Spread whipped topping over the final layer.
- Sprinkle sliced almonds on top for garnish.
Chilling
- Cover the dish tightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best flavor.
Notes
Avoid freezing the cake as it may alter the texture of the toppings. Make-ahead is encouraged for improved flavor.
