For the brownie bread

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted Real butter adds richness.

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs Use room-temperature for better mixing.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup cocoa powder Dutch-processed for best flavor.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp salt Balances sweetness.

For the hot fudge topping

  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce Can be homemade or store-bought.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, melted chocolate, and sugar until well combined.
  • Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.

Serving

  • Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • Serve warm, drizzled with hot fudge, and enjoy!

Notes

For a more indulgent experience, serve with ice cream, whipped cream, or a sprinkle of sea salt. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature.
