Ingredients
  

For the Apple Brown Sugar Syrup

  • ½ cup packed light or dark brown sugar
  • cup apple juice Or apple juice concentrate from the frozen can.
  • 2 sticks cinnamon sticks Or 1 tsp packed ground cinnamon.
  • a pinch salt

For the Latte

  • 3 tbsp full fat coconut milk or barista-style extra creamy oat milk Or non-dairy heavy cream of choice.
  • 1 tbsp Apple Brown Sugar Syrup See recipe above.
  • 1-2 tbsp soy milk Or oat milk, to thin as needed.
  • ½ cup chai tea concentrate If vegan, Starbucks boxed version contains honey.
  • ½-¾ cup oat milk Or milk of choice.
  • 1 handful ice
  • ½ tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Make the Syrup

  • In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar, apple juice, cinnamon sticks, and a pinch of salt.
  • Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool.

Make the Latte

  • In a tall glass, combine the chai tea concentrate, coconut milk (or oat milk), and vanilla extract.
  • Add the cooled Apple Brown Sugar Syrup and stir well.
  • If the mixture is too thick, add soy milk or oat milk, one tablespoon at a time, until it reaches your desired consistency.
  • Fill the glass with ice and top it off with more oat milk.
  • Stir gently and enjoy!

Notes

Serve garnished with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a cinnamon stick for extra flavor. Adjust the sweetness to your preference.
