Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 stick stick of butter Melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 box yellow cake mix Standard size
  • 1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Preparation

  • Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl or on the stove.
  • Whisk the melted butter with the eggs until well combined.
  • Stir in the yellow cake mix until fully incorporated.
  • Mix in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and press the batter evenly into it.
  • Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes (for a 9×13 pan). If using a smaller pan, bake for 25–28 minutes.
  • Let cool slightly before cutting into bars and serving.

Notes

Don’t over-bake! The bars will continue to set as they cool, so pull them when the edges are lightly golden. Add-ins welcome: Try white chocolate, M&M’s, chopped nuts, or sprinkles. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a next-level dessert.
