Main Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 pieces eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Flavorings and Optional Ingredients

  • to taste Mint extract or peppermint extract
  • optional Green food coloring For color enhancement
  • for dusting Powdered sugar Optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  • Add in eggs and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  • Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until combined.
  • Add chocolate chips and mix.
  • If using, add mint extract and green food coloring, and stir until well mixed.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared dish and spread evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

Best served at room temperature. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with vanilla ice cream or coffee. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature, or refrigerate for up to a week.
