Ingredients
  

Cake Base

  • 115 g unsalted butter Use room-temperature butter for easy mixing.
  • 150 g granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix Follow package directions.
  • 1 cup milk As per cake mix instructions.

Ice Cream Layers

  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream Let soften slightly for easy spreading.
  • 1 quart chocolate ice cream Let soften slightly for easy spreading.
  • 1 quart strawberry ice cream Let soften slightly for easy spreading.

Toppings

  • 1 cup whipped cream For frosting the cake.
  • 1 cup chocolate syrup For drizzling on top.
  • 1 cup strawberries for garnish Fresh strawberries to decorate.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  • In a bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package directions, adding the creamed mixture.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.

Assembly

  • Once cooled, slice the cake horizontally into two layers.
  • Place one layer on a serving plate and spread a layer of vanilla ice cream over it.
  • Add the second layer of cake on top of the ice cream and repeat the process with chocolate ice cream and the final layer with strawberry ice cream.
  • Frost the top and sides of the cake with whipped cream.
  • Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top and garnish with fresh strawberries.
  • Freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Allow the cake layers to cool completely to avoid melting the ice cream. For a smoother finish, use a spatula to spread the whipped cream evenly. Store leftovers in the freezer to prevent freezer burn.
