Dessert Components

  • 250 g ladyfingers Use sturdy ladyfingers for better layering.
  • 250 g mascarpone cheese Should be at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 150 ml milk Heat until boiling, then cool.
  • 55 g chocolate spread Extra for mixing into the cream.
  • to taste finely chopped hazelnuts For coating the sides.

Preparation

  • Mix the mascarpone cheese and 250 g of chocolate spread until smooth. Set aside 40 g of the cream mixture and pipe the rest into a bag.
  • Heat the milk in a pan until boiling, then turn off the heat and add 55 g of chocolate spread. Stir until smooth and let cool to room temperature.

Layering

  • Take a ladyfinger and pipe a dollop of cream on it, then place another ladyfinger on top and press firmly.
  • Spread the sides with the reserved cream mixture.
  • Dip the layered ladyfinger treat in the chocolate mixture, and coat the sides with finely chopped hazelnuts.
  • Place the hazelnut pastry on a small paper liner.
  • Pipe a dollop of cream on top for the finishing touch.

Notes

Serve on a nice plate or tray, and consider garnishing with extra hazelnuts or chocolate drizzle. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
